Baseball Season Opener
The Sloan-Hendrix Baseball Season got off to a start in the openers against Cave City on Tuesday, February 29. The senior and the JV teams both competed. According to Sloan-Hendrix baseball coach, Burton Winston, "The Greyhound baseball team is looking forward to a banner season. We have several new players added to the roster of our seasoned players and they will contribute to the development of the program. Our first game revealed that this year's team has GRIT. I want my teams to believe that they can win against any team no matter the odds or the size of the school we are playing. Tuesday's game proved to be a challenge that this year's team is willing to work toward overcoming. There were many positive attributes of the team that I look forward to seeing throughout the season such as grit, a will to win, never giving up, great effort, positive attitudes, and communicating well with one another during duress." The baseball and softball schedules are available on the school website.
